I recently stayed as part of a group. Pros: The design and layout was well done. The courtyard and public spaces were filled with plants and seating. The room is well laid out and simple. This allows for a peaceful and relaxing stay. The bathroom is well laid out also. What could be improved: I was freezing or too hot every night. I spoke with reception and they just shrugged. I didn’t sleep during the stay. No temperature worked. Mostly, it was too cold at night. Very uncomfortable. Breakfast: supposedly included but I had a hard time getting served. One of the 4 days, I waited for an hour while everyone around me was served. I got apologies but breakfast took more than an hour. They also changed what was included daily. This was disappointing. The coffee shop was good. Most of the service requests went unanswered. The location was good and once inside, you felt at ease.

Casa Antonieta was incredibly beautiful. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable. The food in the rooftop cafe was delicious…and the views from the rooftop were breathtaking!! But let me share with you something that you will not see in any pictures…the hospitality, compassion and kindness of every staff that we encountered. They all felt like my extended family. We had a situation and required medical attention. Lalo got us doctor at 4:30 in the morning. Andrea, Romina, Carlos and Fred checked in with us throughout the day. Edwin, the manager, was very kind. That type of hospitality is very hard to come by. Just book already!

Romina, the manager, and the rest of the staff are very warm and genuinely welcoming. Casa Antonieta could not be in a better location. The lobby is gorgeous and the cafe is very popular. Be sure to read the room descriptions carefully as each room is unique and some have an interior window that faces the lobby and outdoor or internal patios/balconies.

The service has been one of the best, if not the best I have ever experienced at a hotel anywhere in the world. The attention to detail and willingness to help with every request has been amazing and I am so thankful to every single member of the team here for that. They have all made our stay an unforgettable experience and I would come back to Casa Antonieta without question the next time I come to Oaxaca.

Wonderful hotel perfect location close to so many restaurants, galleries, museums. I arrived late in the evening due to technical issues with my airline, and immediately relaxed into a magical lobby. I appreciated that a cafe was conveniently attached and the hotel had a lovely bar on an upper terrace. The rooms were impervious to any noise so tranquility was the order of this venue.

One of the best hotels we stayed during our week in Oaxaca. It was unmatched in the ambience, service, friendliness and amenities. It was such a great representation of everything we fell in love with in Oaxaca.
